Myakka River State Park is 37,000 acres of beauty for as far as the eye can see. The park is located a few miles east of I-75 with park admission per vehicle being $6 and $26 per night for camping. The park is full of amenities and activities such as camping, fishing, tours, sightseeing, kayaking, on site showers, etc.
During the spring and summer there are beautiful wildflowers blooming and many travel just to come take pictures with them. Tours are offered by the park as well as a gift shop, restaurant, and rentals for kayaks and bicycles. Boat tours are also offered in the lake that also has a bird walk and boat drop off attached.
The park’s trails are full of some of the most stunning views. Many people love to watch the baby deer and turkey in the spring. The bridge is one of the hotspots for the park year round where visitors go to watch the huge alligators that roam the waters.
